Mary Sinclair began practicing Balance in 2002. She became a Certified Balance Teacher under the tutelage of Jean Couch in 2007. She has also studied with Noelle Perez-Christiaens and her senior teachers at the Institute Superior d’Aplomb in Paris, France and at Balance Center in Palo Alto, CA. She continues to study with all of these teachers regularly at Balance Center. Mary was compelled to learn more and spread the word about natural alignment and her passion continues to this day! She is particularly interested in changing the images of who we think we are. The images in nearly all fashion magazines today present the human form in a distorted and unhealthy posture. These images are both physiologically and psychologically damaging. They are also very pervasive until you learn to recognize them and make another choice about how you want to look.
Mary is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level under Yoga Alliance Standards. She has certifications from the Seattle Holistic Center in Seattle, WA and Yoga for 2 in New York City, NY to teach Prenatal Yoga. She launched the prenatal yoga program at Yoga on High in Columbus, OH in January of 2002 where she still teaches for this thriving program!
Mary began as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1996 and continued until 2009 when she decided she enjoyed receiving massage much more than giving them herself! She has also studied Polarity Therapy at the Columbus Polarity Therapy Center and is attuned in Reiki to level 2.
